This weeks theme is “in a row.” After a week of thinking about this theme, taking pictures of my clothesline and even convincing my son that I should take a picture of his toes, planning a trip to a cornfield…. I stepped out the door and there it was! It’s funny that I had never really noticed the way these leaves grow “in a row.”
This is Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls. I love the way the sun shines through the trees here and also the way the ground is covered with plants! It was a challenge for me to do a “landscape” post this week because I got my 85mm lens on Wednesday so I have been focusing on portrait and detail shots all week still I think it’s a great theme.

I REALLY like birch trees. Today when my son visited the “outdoor classroom” with his class he surprised me by collecting and bringing home a big bag of birch bark!! (from a tree that was down) It wasn’t just for me though, he’s planning to make a canoe. Stay tuned

Sometimes the photo of the week just happens. Sometimes it involves driving all over town trying to find just the right thing to compliment the blue sky and trudging and lying down in a foot of snow.
